Obituary of Dorothy Conrad
Devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was 92 years old. Dorothy was born on February 8, 1929 in Detroit, MI to the late Bogdan and Zorka (Miletich) Radulovich. She married William J. Conrad on May 27, 1949 in Flint, Michigan; he predeceased her on October 31, 1989.
Donnie graduated from Southeastern High School, class of 1946. She was a member of Dice Wesleyan Church and also attended Swan Valley Methodist Church. Donnie prided herself with bountiful vegetable gardens and beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed mowing her yard until just a few years ago. Donnie also enjoyed traveling, watching the birds that came to her bird feeders and she was an avid bowler; her bowling league won some trophies because of her high scores. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Donnie will always be remembered for her most delicious homemade apple pies; made from the apples in her yard. She will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her five children: Judy (Gary) Schuhmacher, Sue Sawyer, Beth Beson, Tom Conrad, and Tim (Kelly) Conrad; nine grandchildren: Tony (Theresa) Schuhmacher, Aaron (Floyd) Hollingsworth, Steve (Alicia) Beson, Jim (Jeannine) Beson, Laura (Jack) Bomkamp, Matt (Jenny) Conrad, Nick (Mallory) Conrad, Lindsay (Sean) Hepworth, David (Melanie) Conrad; 20 great-grandchildren: Raegan (Jared) Wedin, Mason (Emily) Schuhmacher, Gwen, Cece, and Ellie Hollingsworth, Finley, Roan, Jonah and Dylan Beson, Charlie and Frances Bomkamp, James, William, Penny, Michael, Montana, and Walker Conrad, Abby, Hailey, and Maggie Hepworth; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers: Bob, Michael, Peter, Steve and William Radulovich; two sisters: Mary West and Ellen Koprivica; son-in-law, Rick Sawyer and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Conrad.
