Obituary of Miguel Rico
Loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away on Thursday morning, with family by his side, November 25, 2021 at McLaren Caro Region. He was 80 years old. Miguel Rico was born on June 28, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Jose and Nieves (Lopez) Rico. He was formerly married to Suzanne Butzin in December of 1967. Mike was employed by General Motors as a Drill Press Operator, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a faithful member of Assembly of God Church, Caro Lighthouse Baptist and the VFW post in Reese for many years.
Mike was a devoted Detroit Tigers fan. He was also a history buff and enjoyed spending time at the library researching family genealogy and historical events. Mike was a voracious reader and loved studying the bible. He will be remembered for his love of a good debate and his strong support for Israel. Mike cherished going for rides in his car but, above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
To cherish his memory are his children, Michelle Rico, Angela (Dennis) Syacsure, Renee Rico, and Miguel (Kelly) Rico II.; grandchildren, Kaylee Anderson, Zachary (Artricia) Syacsure, Kaleb Syacsure, and Sara Qrinawi; great-grandchildren, Madilyn Syacsure, Eliana Raymond, and a great-grandson on the way; siblings, Jose (Rita) Rico Jr., Rachel Rico, and Graciela Rico, special nieces and nephews, Raul and Maria Torrez, Nick Rico, Lupe Bryan, Lourdes Rico and many more nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Miguel was preceded in death by his brothers, Fidel and Raul Rico.
