Obituary of Marie Elizabeth Hussle

Marie Elizabeth Breidenbach Hussle Born in Marblehead, Massachusetts on August 12, 1927, Marie moved to Saginaw as a young child. She attended Saints Peter and Paul elementary school as well as the high school. A member of the St. Peter and Paul church choir, there she met her future husband, Joseph Hussle. They were married on August 18, 1945 and were married for 61 years, until Joe passed away in 2006. Early in their marriage, Marie was employed at Woolworth department store before the birth of her first child. They raised their three children in Saginaw until moving to South Florida in 1968. Marie and Joe delighted in taking their young family on driving trips, vacationing often with road trips to New England to see relatives. They also spent many summers enjoying the lakes of Northern Michigan with their children, nieces and nephews.  One of their favorite trips, as a couple, was to the Principality of Monaco. There, they had the exciting privilege of meeting and exchanging stories with a great uncle who had not ever been to the United States.

Marie is predeceased by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her three children: Joseph Michael Hussle (Jan) of Maryland, Patricia Marie Frick (Lee) of Florida and Rebecca Elizabeth Hussle of Florida; six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at St. Dominic Parish-SS. Peter & Paul Day Chapel 4735 W Michigan Ave Saginaw, MI 48638.  Rev. Fr. Marc Hoppes will officiate. Committal service to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
