Our loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and dear friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was 67 years old. Douglas Craig Salvner was born November 29, 1953 in Saginaw. Doug met the love of his life, Linda Marie Conden, at Ojibway Island during his high school years, and they were married on April 20, 1974. Together they raised their family in Auburn, and was involved at Tri-County Worship Center. Doug worked as a machine builder at Saginaw Machine Systems for over 35 years, retiring in 2016. Doug greatest love came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to fish, taking boat rides, camping with family, and was a loyal Lions fan.

Surviving are his daughters and their spouses: Nichol (Jeremy) Hines and Karrie (Paul) Roupe; grandchildren: Austin and Sierra Hines and William, Nathaniel and Lindsey Roupe; mother, Donna Marie Graham; sisters and brothers-in-law: Kathie (Albert) Sanchez, Linda (Rick) Church and Cindy Lynch; brothers-in-law: Terry (Rita) Conden and Rick (Lee) Conden; sister-in-law, Patricia Keith; step-family, Carl (Jacquelyn) Jaenicke and Fran Jaenicke; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Marie Salvner on November 27, 2020; dad, Leonard “Len” Salvner; step-mom, Thelma Jaenicke Salvner; sister-in-law, Cindy Dumbra; step-brothers: Clarence and Roy Jaenicke.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Marc Alba will officiate with burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Kawkawlin. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
