Obituary of Logan William Leaym
Leaym, Logan William age 23 years, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 18, 2021 due to an accident while serving in the United States Navy in Shibuya, Japan. Logan was born September 17, 1998 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Kris and Brenda (Brown) Leaym. Logan graduated from Carrollton High School in 2017. He then joined the United States Navy on April 22, 2020 and reported to Japan on August 1, 2020. Logan was very proud to be able to serve in the United States Navy and was enjoying his time in Japan.
In his free time Logan enjoyed playing the guitar, studying martial arts, photography (especially sceneries), comics, gaming and all things to do with Star Wars. He also was very passionate about wrestling and working out. Logan had a great sense of humor; he loved making people laugh. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Logan is survived by his parents: Kris and Brenda; brothers and sister: Lance Ryelee, Landen Kris and Kyley Elizabeth Kaylynn; nephew: Jack Kristopher; grandmother: Christy Lynn (Collins) Brown; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special aunt and uncle: Branden and Michelle Brown; and many dear friends. Logan was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Thomas and Margaret Collins; grandparents: William and Barbara Leaym; two uncles: Timothy Collins, Thomas “Joe” Collins; and two cousins: Catherine “Kitty” Collins, Trent McLeod.
FUNERAL: The Funeral Liturgy will take place Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM from Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave, Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev Fr. Thai Nguyen to officiate. Rite of committal to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Full Military Honors will conclude services under the auspices of the United States Navy and several local military organizations.
VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. Saginaw, MI 48603 on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM. A Vigil for the Logan will take place at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church Friday morning from 10:00 until the time of service.
MEMORIALS: In Lieu of flowers those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider the “Wishes of the Leaym Family” in care of Brenda Leaym.
