Obituary of Lucrezia Miller
Miller, Lucrezia “Liz” (Alfano)
Saginaw, Michigan
Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, September 11, 2021 at Toni and Trish House in Auburn. She was 95 years old. First generation American, Lucrezia Alfano was born December 26, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Nicolo and Amelia (Russo) Alfano. She was one of 14 children. Liz married Lyle G. Miller on May 29, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1990. She was employed as a cashier at various grocery stores before leaving to stay home with her children. Liz was a member of the Sons of Italy and was a lifetime member of the League of Catholic Women. She was a faithful woman of God and served as past president of the Altar Society at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Liz was also a member of St. Dominic Parish and Christ the Good Shepherd for many years. She will be remembered by those that knew her as strong, loving, and very giving.
She loved to cook and garden. Liz also enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and taking trips to the casino. But, what she really loved most was family gatherings where she got to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, William (Diane) Miller, Catherine (Ron) Rousseau, Lyle (Alice) Miller, Dennis (Rose) Miller, Mary (Mark) Vogelpohl, Craig Miller, and Scott (Lisa) Miller; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
