Obituary of Joanne Bonnie Mueller

Mueller, Joanne, of Saginaw passed away peacefully on Friday July 16, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was 91 years old.  Joanne Bonnie Rank was born on September 21, 1929 in Saginaw to the late Harold and Viola (Fobear) Rank.  She married William Andrew Mueller on October 10, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Saginaw.  He preceded her in death on January 25, 2014.  She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Saginaw.

Joanne lived a full life as an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved shopping at the same store 3-4 days a week, mostly just to people watch, and to buy socks for her grandkids. She collected empty coffee cans and never disclosed to us as to why.

She was known for always voicing her opinion whether it was popular or not. Joanne loved going to the casino and was always commenting on the ‘old geezers’. Most of all, she loved her family passionately. Joanne took the time to call each of us regularly just to let us know she was thinking of us. Words cannot express how much she was loved and how greatly she will be missed.

Surviving are her children:  William (Barbara) Mueller of Wisconsin, Thomas Mueller of Saginaw, James (Teri) Mueller of Wisconsin and Cynthia (Jon) Milne of Wheeler.  Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kurt (Kari) Mueller, Carrie (Ryan) McGovern, Katie (Don) Engel, Heather Fusco, Emily (Eric) Walsh, Kyle Mueller, Kelly (Michael) Humphrey, Jacob (Amy) Milne, Shanna (Matthew) Hensler and Alana (Tom Inman) Mueller.  Great grandchildren:  Helena, Shea, Stella, Finton, Margot, Alec, Trent, Drew, Samantha, Theodora, Elliana, Averie, Carter, Jack, Alivia and Easton.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, son Robert, sister Patricia Doud, brother-in-law Don Mueller.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E. Holland Road, Saginaw, MI. Pastor Randall Waibel will officiate.  Cremation has taken place.
