Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. She was 62 years old. Concepcion Frances Gallardo was born on April 1, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to Jesse Gallardo and Juanita Melchor. She married Rudolph “Rudy” Vargas on April 1, 2006. He preceded her in death February 15, 2017. She was employed as a nurse’s aide for many years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren. Connie was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua, now St. Francis of Assisi Parish for many years.

She loved playing bingo and playing cards. Connie also loved to dance and going to dances. She was an avid bowler and played on many leagues throughout the years. Connie was a magnificent cook and made wonderful tamales and the world’s best rice. But, what she really loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Tynisha (Paul Flores) Gallardo and Jesus (Alexis) Gallardo; her extended daughters, Erika Jackson, SueLynn Vargas, and Tanya Vargas; grandchildren: Mon’Tevius Gallardo, Maria Gallardo, Nia’Miyah Gallardo, Raymon Gallardo, Alexia Gallardo, Asia’Lyn Gallardo, Marissa Vargas, Anna-Alicia Vargas, Cecelia Vargas, Layla Vargas, Delano Vargas Jr., Rudal Vargas, Theotis Sneed Jr., and Elexis Jackson; seven great grandchildren, Marcus Gallardo, Samiyah Vargas, Aniyah Vargas, Qu’Mari Vargas, Ma’Layla Vargas, Rudal Vargas Jr., and Trey’vohn Vargas; father, Jesse (Alice) Gallardo; mother, Juanita “Joanna” Jones; sisters, Suzette (Frank) Soria, Cindy (Jr.) Gutierrez, Marty Moncivais and a host of brothers and sisters in-law; goddaughters, Monia Flores and Kimberly Tijerina; god parents, Robert (Josie) Martinez; god sister, Rachel Hernandez; special family and friends: Sabrina and Stephania Donald, Leo and Norma Yanez, Manuel and Theresa Melchor, Mona and Theresa Flores, Angie “MooMoo” Gutierrez, Silvia Charro, Louie and Gloria Garcia, Jan Carpenter, Luann Hecht, Joanne and Diane Hogg and many more extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Concepcion Gallardo and Manual and Dolores Melchor; mother in-law Maria Olga Gallardo; stepfather, Ross Jones; a son, Rudy Anthony "Punky" Vargas; special uncle, Anthony Melchor; in-laws Raymond and Margarita Rodriguez and Alberto and Pauline Vargas; father of her first born, Raymond Rodriguez; ex-husband and friend, Jean Aaron Williams; sister and brother in-law, Nevelyn (Joe) Garza.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Frank Gallardo will officiate.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family c/o Tynisha Gallardo.
