My heart goes out to each one of you. Rick and Randy your tributes to your Dad were amazing, truly! All of the Kostrzewa men and women have a wonderful legacy to carry on.
I am so proud to be part of this family. As you know I miss my Dad EVERYDAY it's a void we can never fill. We have to keep the faith that they are watchng over us and that their legacy lives on. Your Dad's light shined so bright and it will carry on in all of you and your children.
God Bless and love to you all.

Ray was my close personal friend for nearly 70 years, and we shared many good times together, from the time we first met in Carrolton Township years ago, right up until recent days.
After we both married we stayed in touch, and our families grew up together. There are so many fond memories -- the trips to Branson, Missouri, celebrating our birthdays together out at Zehnder's in Frankenmuth, the New Year's Eve parties at St. Josaphat's on Shattuck Road, and so many other great occasions. These last few months and weeks have been difficult for Ray and Pat and the family, but he is in a better place now, with no more pain and no more difficulties of this life. We all miss him, but we should not wish him back, for he is now singing with the Angels! And what a wonderful experience that must be.
Words are always hard to come by at times like this, but those of David, of long ago, come to mind:
"Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning!" (Psalm 30, v. 5)
In other words, all of us may shed tears of sorrow at this time, but those of us of faith know in our hearts that we will see his smiling face once again -- and what a joyful day that will be!
Yoko and I join Ray and Pat's many friends in wishing you God's peace and may He give you strength for the journey in the days to come.
Rest in peace, old friend, we will see you soon.
Gene & Yoko Mossner.

Dear Pat and Family,
We were sorry to read of Ray's passing. We knew he was a very sick man when we left Carrollton on Dec. 29. We are in Florida until early April, so will be unable to offer our sympathy in person. May God give all of you the strength you need at this difficult time.

Aunt Pat & Cousins... our prayers and most fond remembrances of this fine man! Growing up I counted my blessings each time I could be around Uncle Ray.. a personality bigger than life and a sense of humor and love of family that permeated any space where he was. He was the quintessential Kostrzewa man. Can you not close your eyes and imagine him being welcomed home by Grampa and Grama, Uncle Val and Dad.
God Bless this family, one and all !!

Pat and family, I was sorry to hear about Ray. He was such a nice person, and I enjoyed his smile and giving him a hug whenever I seen him. I am in North Carolina with my daughter and her family, so will not be there to give my respects, but know that your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.
Sincerely, Carole Pollen
