Obituary of Mary Louise Weeden

WEEDEN, Mary Louise (Gallagher) of Kochville Township, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011, at her home with her family at her side. She was 69 years old. Mary Louise Bourdow was born on August 23, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late John R. and Louise M. (Gilbaga) Bourdow. She married Willard "Bill" Weeden on March 12, 2005; he survives her. Mary Lou graduated from S.S. Peter and Paul High School in 1959. Upon on her graduation she attended Saginaw Business Institute. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Mary Lou was a loving caregiver to both young and old. She truly treasured and cherished people. She loved her cats, going to the casino and garage sales. Mary Lou's greatest joy was her grandchildren, family, her home and her friends. She loved traveling and going to Lost Valley Campground with Bill. Surviving besides her husband Bill are three daughters and a son: Kaye Ann (Bruce) DeBlieck of Minneapolis, MN, James R. Gallagher (Lisa Gregory), Laura (Rob) Brennan, Karen Louise (Rob) Bradley, all of Saginaw; Six grandchildren: Emmalise DeBlieck, Robert, Maya and Jack Brennan, Hannah Louise and Karrah Ann Bradley; a brother Daniel (Patsy) Bourdow, two sisters: Betty Ann (Don) Jolin and Jean (Don) Brady; two step children: Marsha (Tom) Williams and Brian Weeden. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Bobby" Bourdow, and her former husband Michael J. Gallagher. Mary Lou's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her siblings and to her niece, Mary Jo Walker. FUNERAL: Mary Lou's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 511 W. Cornell. Rev. Fr. Ronald J. Dombrowski will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. led by Sr. Janet Pewoski, SSJ. Mary Lou will lie in state at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Old Town Christian Outreach Center, Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, or VNA Hospice - Partners in Caring.
