Obituary of Donna M. Fish

FISK, Donna M. of Saginaw, MI passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Covenant Health Care with her family at her side. She was 78 years old. Donna M. Goodrich was born on June 20, 1932 to the late Earl and Vella (Beebe) Goodrich. She is the former wife and dear friend of Donald H. Fisk. Donna was employed by the Saginaw Public Schools as a Teacher's Aide until her retirement in 1998 and then continued to work with the Foster Grandparent Program. She treasured her family, friends and the children at the school. She is survived by her two sons and four daughters: Donny (Joan) Fisk of Stafford, VA, Darlene (Todd) Douglass of Paxico, KS, Dee Ann (Joe) Bliss of Saginaw, Denise (Bradley) Walworth of St. Charles, Dorothy (Patrick) Leddy of Freeland and Dale Fisk of Saginaw; 12 grandchildren: Donny Fisk, Jr., Theresa (Kristopher) Heckman, Stephanie and Megan Fisk, Joshua (Ashley), Jamie (Elizabeth), and Tyler Douglass, Andrew Fisk, Alexis Walworth, Ashlie (Jeffrey) Todd, Erica Fisk and Brian Fisk; six great grandchildren: Kiersten, Chase and Gabby Fisk, Oliver Todd, Addison and Madelyn Douglass; a sister-in-law, Luella Goodrich; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Abby. Donna was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Fisk; a sister, Sadie Miller; and two brothers: Ralph and Bernard (Barney) Goodrich. Donna's family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Theresa Pietrus and her Staff for the wonderful care that was provided. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Donna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. According to Donna's wishes cremation will follow the funeral service. VISITATION: Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
