Jersevicz, Otillia of Saginaw, was guided into eternal life by her Guardian Angel on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. Francis Home. She was 95. Otillia (Tillie) Naples, one of ten children, was born on June 2, 1915 in Saginaw to the late Ralph and Raffaela Masucci (Napolitano) Naples. She attended Mount Carmel Elementary and graduated from St. Joseph High (Class of 1933). She married John Joseph Jersevicz on November 20, 1937 at Mt. Carmel in Saginaw. He preceded her on June 8, 1978. Tillie's daughters were her pride and joy: Rachel Louise Jersevicz and Mary Ann Jersevic (her birthday present) both of Saginaw. One granddaughter, whom she cherished and spoiled, Brigette Louise Meyer and her husband, Daniel LeRoy Meyer, of Bay City. Tillie had many talents. She was creative, sewed, played piano by ear and did volunteer work. Her volunteer work included: the Red Cross during WW II, St. Casimir Lunchroom and Vacation Bible School. Tillie was an outstanding cook and took pride in her Italian heritage and dishes. She will always be remembered for her cooking in the basement at 1119 Lamson St. She worked in St. Peter and Paul High School Cafeteria, which later became Nouvel. In her golden years, she earned a driver's license and tooled around in her Chevrolet Monza Towne Coupe. Tillie was also a member of the Pulaski Club Women's Auxiliary, Saginaw Art Museum and the Saginaw County League of Catholic Women. She was a shy, humble, generous and kind lady. Tillie was predeceased by 8 siblings: Antoinette Naples, Sam Naples, Mario Naples, Angelo Naples, Virginia Naples, Lucy (Naples) Kelly, Clement (DoDo) Naples, Teresa (Naples) Glynn. She is survived by her youngest sister, Mary Bashans, and many loved nieces, nephews and their children. She resided at St. Francis Home for seven months where she was given the ultimate of Catholic care. St. Francis, pray for us. Tillie, now rest in peace after 95 years of living a good long life. FUNERAL: Otillia's funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at St. Casimir Catholic Church 2122 S. Jefferson Ave. Rev. Fr. Reginaldo Salcedo and Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will con-celebrate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. A rosary service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Otillia will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. MEMORIALS: A memorial donation may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
