Obituary of Miriam Dunning

DUNNING, Miriam "Bobbe" of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre. She was 90 years old. Miriam Blose was born on December 6, 1920 in Bloomington, IL to the late Lyman and Marie (Winch) Blose. She was married to her loving husband, Harry Dunning, for over 40 years. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1986. Bobbe was a graduate from Popes Culinary School and earned her bachelor's degree from Chicago State University. She earned a master's degree from DePaul University. Bobbe was employed as a teacher by School District 130 in Blue Island, IL. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Martha Washington Chapter, Daughters of the Nile, and the Auxiliary of American Legion Post 439. Surviving are a son, Lyman Dunning and a daughter, Lynda Callison both of Saginaw; three grandchildren: Kory (Stacie) Callison, Kevin (Laura) Callison, Kristen (Brent) Kiefer; seven great grandchildren: Hayden, Catherine, Janel, Logan, Cole, Drew, and Miles. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald Callison, and a grandson, Kasey Callison. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Worth, IL.
