Obituary of Jermone J. Finney

FINNEY, Jerome J. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at his home. He was 78 years of age. Jerome Joseph Finney was born on June 2, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Karwel) Finney. He was married to Carolyn Krapf on April 19, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan. She survives him. Jerome had been employed as a machine operator at the Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 4. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Jerome had a green thumb and was always found in the garden gardening. He also loved woodworking, making shadow people and whirly jigs and he enjoyed traveling. Jerome is survived by his wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Denise; a brother, Edward Finney and two sisters. FUNERAL- Jerome's Funeral Service will be take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Swan Valley United Methodist Church, 9265 Geddes Rd, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate with the burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION- Friends may visit with Jerome's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
