Obituary of Laurence J. Gamble

GAMBLE, Laurence J. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Edgewood Assisted Living Facility. He was 83 years old. Laurence J. Gamble was born on July 5, 1927 to the late John and Esther (Keelan) Gamble in Saginaw. He was married to Catherine Richards and together they had two children. He later married the love of his life, Judith Ryder, on September 5, 1981 in Saginaw. Judith preceded him in death on October 8, 2010. Laurence proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He was employed by Saginaw Products Corporation for over 30 years and was a plant manager before retiring in 1992. He treasured the time spent with his wife and together they enjoyed taking long walks, working in their yard and wintering in Florida. Surviving is a son, Michael L. Gamble; a daughter, Lucinda (Gary) Bellinger; a grandson, Justin Bellinger; and a sister, Ilean Brooks. Laurence was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Gamble of Vienna Austia, and a sister, Elsie Johnson. FUNERAL: Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2011 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Paul Hinz will officiate. Military Services will be conduct under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 1859 and entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at Deisler Funeral Home on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Laurence's funeral service.
