Obituary of Jane R. Olsen

OLSEN, Jane R. of Saginaw, Michigan went to her new address in heaven on Monday, May 30 at Colonial Villa Assisted Living in Midland. She was 94 years old. Jane was born on June 4, 1916 to the late Archie and Hertha Lutz. She was married to William Crawford and together they had two children. Later, she married Alfred Olsen. They both preceded her in death, along with one sister and three brothers. Surviving are two sons; Bill (Kathleen) Crawford of Taylor, MI and David (Sue) Crawford of Seoul, South Korea; eight grandchildren; Kathy Van Houten, Kim Brown, Billy Crawford, Kristin Roberts, Jayne Kalis, Jon Crawford, Sonya Bearson, and DJ Crawford; 15 great grand children; a brother Ken Lutz of Saginaw, MI and a sister Maxine Lutz of Campbell, CA. Jane had been an active member of the Immanuel Bible Church of Saginaw, MI and taught children for more than 30 years in various church's Sunday schools and Good News Clubs that met in homes after school under the direction of the Child Evangelism Fellowship. Jane's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Southern Care Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided. FUNERAL: Jane's funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State). Rev. Ken Streeter of the Saginaw Rescue Mission will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Oakwood Mausoleum on Gratiot in Saginaw. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the International Baptist Church of Dresden, Germany (Please make checks payable to: Baptist Bible Fellowship International Missionary # 065160 - c/o Bill Crawford, P.O. Box 191, Springfield, MO 65803-191), The Gideons International, City Rescue Mission of Saginaw, Family Life Radio or Immanuel Bible Church.
