Obituary of Ollie B. Grinnell

GRINNELL, Ollie B. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011, at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. She was 99 years old. Ollie B. Fauver was born on February 14, 1912 in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Holly Oney and Pearl (Howey) Fauver. She married to the love of her life, Orrie E. Grinnell; he preceded her in death on July 24, 1987. She was a life long member of the Community of Christ, formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Ollie was a skilled seamstress and took great pleasure in sewing and crocheting. She would often make her son's clothing until he entered junior high school. Ollie was a devoted and dedicated grandmother to her four grandchildren throughout her entire life. She was also incredibly warmhearted and loved her dogs always treasuring and cherishing them as her pets. Surviving are a son, James Grinnell of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Jim (Evelyn) Grinnell of Lansing, Cheri (Bobby) Arciniega of Traverse City, Shannon (Matthew) Kowalec of California and Paul (Brandy) Grinnell of Detroit; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a former daughter-in-law, Win Poarth of Saginaw. She was preceded in death by two brothers: George and Albert Fauver. FUNERAL: Ollie's Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Community of Christ, 300 N. Center Ave. Evangelist Jack Ergo will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
