Obituary of Isabel V. Maldonado

MALDONADO, Isabel V. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, November 21. 2012 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland. She was 87 years old. Isabel V. Arraut was born on November 18, 1925 in Soledad, Columbia to the late Jose and Mardonia (Niebles) Arraut. She came to the United States in 1963, and married Alfredo S. Maldonado on May 20, 1967, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1998. Isabel had been employed by the State of Michigan for 25 years. She was also a proud foster parent of 34 children. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the K of C Ladies Auxiliary Council #593. Isabel was a faithfully devoted Christian, made rosaries and was a talented seamstress. Surviving are two daughters and two sons: Leticia Maldonado and her husband James Stachowski and their family, Victoria, James, and Gabriella Stachowski all of Waterford; Alicia and her husband Ted Acuña of Edinburg, TX and their family: Adan, Aaron (Rebecca), Andre, Ariel, Adrian and Anthony; and Manuel Macias and Elias Macias; two great-grandchildren: Sofia and Gabriel; a brother and a sister: Jose (Betty) Arraut and Elsa Arraut. Also surviving are many special nieces and nephews; Rose (Phillip) Arraut-Miller, Maritza (Dwight) Perkins, Nancy Arraut, David (Allana) Arraut, Richard (Julie) Arraut, Tommy (Gina) Arraut, the late Raymond (Sherry) Arraut. Isabel was preceded in death by a sister Leda Donado and a brother Ciro Arraut. FUNERAL- Isabel's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION- Friends are welcome to visit with Isabel's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. The K of C Ladies Auxiliary Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Isabel will lie in state at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. MEMORIALS- Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Susan G.
