Wells, John (Bill) Wm. Sr.
Saginaw, Michigan
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper, surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old. John William Wells was born on May 5, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to the late John B. and Virgie Mae (Jarvis) Wells. He graduated from Arenac Eastern High School (fondly referred to by John as "Possum Trot") and then continued his education at Ferris State University and Michigan College of Mining and Technology, Sault Ste Marie, MI. He earned a Licensed Diesel Mechanic Certificate. He met the love of his life, Suzanne Meyer, and they were married on May 19, 1962 at Zion Lutheran Church, Saginaw. Together they have celebrated 58 wonderful years. John worked for GM Grey Iron Foundry for over 25 years, retiring in 1990. He was a past member of First Assembly of God, where he operated the tape ministry. Later, John was a faithful member of New Life Christian Fellowship. He loved to fix things with his hands and enjoyed running a small business of sewing machine repair. He will be remembered for his passion for Jesus, love for his family and his generosity. And as John would say, "See you around like a donut."
John's humor and caring heart will be deeply missed by his wife Suzanne, children: Pamela (Curtis) Reames, Patricia (Alan) Jones, Peggy (Paul) Bates and John Wm.
