Obituary of Marjorie Ann Krass

Krass, Marjorie A. Hemlock, Michigan Loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Monday evening, March 1, 2021 at HealthSource Saginaw, she was 80 years old. Marjorie Ann Dommer was born August 22, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Norman and Irene (Roggmann) Dommer. She married Walter Krass on February 24, 1990 in Hemlock at St. John's Lutheran Church. Marjorie attended college earning her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed by St. Luke's Hospital, retiring in 1995. Marjorie was a faithful and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hemlock for many years. She loved baking and sewing with her four granddaughters. Marjorie also enjoyed camping with her husband Walter and going for bike rides. But, what she really loved most was spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Walter Krass; daughter, Dawn (Daryl) McPhail; grandchildren, Ashley (Craig Selby) McPhail, Melissa McPhail, Shelby McPhail, Jamie McPhail; nephew, Matthew (Eva) Dommer; niece, Terri (Dan) Chrenka. Marjorie was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Dommer. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Road, Hemlock. Pastor Philip Loescher will officiate. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Road, on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 12:00 p.m. In keeping with mandated ordinances and for the safety of the community, face masks are required and social distancing will be observed. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church in Hemlock.
