Gary & I met @ CMU in 1970 while working for the campus radio station, WCHP.
We were roommates @ the famed Deerfield Apts, south of campus.
He’d graduated and started working @ WSAM and I wound up doing a summer shift prior to returning for my senior year.
When Gary & Linda returned to Michigan, I’d tracked him down and we had dinner @ Salvatore Scallopini’s ~2012…

So very sad to hear this. Gary was a great guy, and our family has many fond memories of times spent with Gary and his family during our years in the IYHL. Gary did have a passion for hockey, as our family did, too. He was my sons house and travel coach. Thanks for the memories, Gary!

I also worked with Gary at the Don Medow dealership. He was one of the nicest and respectful guys there. He was always happy and had a smile on his face.He loved talking about his son and wife Linda and you could tell in his voice how much he loved them. I met his wife Linda and I can truthfully say that theirs was a match made in heaven!

G2 or G squared. I had the pleasure of meeting you in 2012. I considered you not only an acquaintance but eventually a friend. I enjoyed our conversations about hockey, your career history, the Red Wings and I admired those super cool Notre Dame "kicks." You always referred to me as " Sunshine." May you know that you emanated light wherever your presence was as well. Shine that light and smile in heaven my friend. God Bless you and your beautiful family ♡

As a big sister to my brother, Gary, my memories include always taking him for a ride in the stroller when I came home school. And helping him remove his snowsuit and boots ... the boots were so wet to be removed with bare hands. But task accomplished!

I worked with Gary in South Bend at Don Meadow Motors. He was helpful, kind and funny. We stayed friends with Linda and Gary for over 20years and saw them in Saginaw when I was there for cancer treatments. A very special man is with God now! May he be at peace and pain free.
