I have such fun memories of BT from my childhood in Bay Port- especially when my dad and Uncle Tom took fire works offered to them by BT and mistakenly blew up the dock. BT's laughter rang through the night after that episode. He will be missed. My condolences to Yvonne, Kim, Laureen and Shelly.
Love, Becky Topham Bolat

To B. T.'s family.
Yvonne, Laurine, Kim, and Shelly,
I to will miss B.T. greatly. He took a piece of my heart with him. I worked for B.T. for twelve years and he taught me all I knew about the cab Co. He shared his family with me,
and I'm forever greatful. The girls were just little, and I had the privilege to watch them
grow up over the years into fine women. There were many good times at Bay Port, spent with his family. I'm forever grateful that our lives crossed paths. God Bless you, B.T.

B.T. is gone.....after 94 years he has left this earth for a better place. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. We are lucky to have many great memories. He will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten. B.T. was a truly wonderful man who loved his family. He was also a hard-working man. For many years he worked two jobs to support his family (at Yellow Cab and for over 70 years at his own company Topham Realty). B.T. worked hard but he also had a zest for life. One of my favorite memories was when B.T., his daughter (my wife Laureen), and I took our boat out into Saginaw Bay. It was a 34 ft. boat with 2 big powerful engines. As we were cruising out on the bay I asked B.T. if he would like to captain the boat. He just smiled, grabbed the steering wheel and then surprisingly put the throttle down! We leaped ahead, the engines roaring as the boat raced through the water. I looked to the stern to see a big wake with a huge rooster tail. Then I looked back at B.T., his silver hair tousled on top of a tanned, handsome face. His hands were on the wheel as he looked out over the bay, a big smile on his face, looking so happy and content. That is how I will remember B.T. An author whose name I cannot recall once wrote "some people come into our lives and leave footprints in our hearts, and we are never, ever the same". That was certainly true of B.T. Topham. A life well lived, a great family man, and a terrific father-in-law. Rest in peace B.T.
