Gorney, Margaret J.
Saginaw, Michigan
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2020. She was 82 years old. Margaret Jane Baase was born December 22, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Thomas and Violet (Rovoll) Baase. She married Franklin "Frank" Gorney on November 4, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan, and together they celebrated 59 years. Margaret was greeted by her husband who saw the face of our Lord and Savior just eight days before her. Together again, they Polka danced freely in Heaven with her new hip no longer in pain and sorrow.
Margaret was a live-long homemaker and a faithful and active member of St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephens Site for many decades. For the past six years she devoted her time and energy to daily visits with her husband at Healthsource, making many friends with the staff and residents. She loved posting (and sharing) memories on social media while playing her favorite bingo games online. She enjoyed doing puzzles, taking care of her flowers, garden and raspberries. Most of all, Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her children, Deborah Clifford, Michael (Mary) Gorney, Diane Moulton; grandchildren, Christopher (Alicia), Andrew, Emily (John), Nicholas, Rachel, James, Julian, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Abel, Harrison, and Maverick; brother, John (Nancy) Baase; many nieces and nephews extended family and dear friends.
