Gorney, Franklin V. "Frank" Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Saturday afternoon, November 28, 2020 at HealthSource Saginaw. He was 84 years old. Franklin Vincent Gorney was born January 26, 1936 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Martin and Catherine (Kusmierz) Gorney. He married Margaret Baase on November 4, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed by General Motors and worked at the Malleable Iron Plant as a patternmaker, retiring after 32 years of service. Frank was a faithful and active member of St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephens Site for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank loved golfing, fishing, and bowling. He was competitive in everything he did and enjoyed playing pool with his nephews every Thursday. But, what Frank really loved most was spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; children, Deborah Clifford, Michael (Mary) Gorney, Diane Moulton; grandchildren, Christopher (Alicia), Andrew, Emily (John), Nicholas, Rachel, James, Julian, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Abel, Harrison, and Maverick; brother in-law, John (Nancy) Baase; two special nephews, Patrick (Diane) Terrian, Randy (Joanne) Terrian, and many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his son, Mark Gorney; son in-law, Wesley Clifford; siblings, Martin, Angeline, Mary Jane, Catherine, Peggy, Thomas, and Josephine. The Gorney family would like to thank the staff at HealthSource Saginaw for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to Frank over the past six years. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Site, 1310 Malzahn Street. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Rite of Committal to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Site, 1310 Malzahn Street on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish or HealthSource Activities.
