Obituary of Elaine Joyce Fobear

Wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away after a short illness on November 14, 2020. Elaine was born to Harold and Martha (Blumke) Marti on September 11, 1937. She was a member of Christ the Good Shepard Church. She worked for the Saginaw Public Schools for 33 years, retiring in 2002. She was an avid reader and card player. She loved to do word searches and most of all spending time with her family. She married David Fobear August 7, 1965. He predeceased her in 1981. She was also predeceased by her sister Patricia Race and a grandson, Anthony Zolinski, Jr. She is survived by four children and four grandchildren: Kimberly Fobear, Christine (Tony) Zolinski, Andrew Fobear II, Kathleen Fobear, David Zolinski, Clarissa Zolinski, Andrew Fobear III, and Amaya Fobear. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. FUNERAL SERVICE: In keeping with Elaine's wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Christ the Good Shepard Parish, St. Helen Site, 2445 N. Charles St., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 1:00 p.m. In keeping with mandated ordinances and for the safety of the community, face masks are required and social distancing will be observed. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
