Obituary of Louis Juarez

Juarez, Louis of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper. Louis was born January 12, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of the late Eliseo and Carolina (Mendoza) Juarez. He graduated from Saginaw High School. Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army. Louis was a member of GI Forum, Knights of Columbus, Lector, Eucharist Minister, The Men's Club, Knights of Peter Clavor and usher, all of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Louis was also a prison minister and member of the YMCA. He enjoyed watching television and reading; but most of all Louis was an avid BINGO player. Louis is survived by a niece; Caroline Martinez, nephew; Marcos Martinez, great nephew; Marcos D. (Heather) Martinez, great-niece; Melissa Martinez, great-great- niece; Amirah Martinez, sister in-law; Joyce Juarez of South Bend, IN, his fur babies and many cousins. Besides his parents, Louis was preceded in death by siblings; Joseph Juarez, Helen Chantaca and Benny Juarez (one day prior). FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Frank Voris OFM Cap will officiate. Committal service to follow in Mt. Olivet. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass (weather permitting).
