Obituary of John B. ValHora

ValHora, John Brian Saginaw Twp., Michigan Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. Age 72 years. John Brian ValHora was born on November 29, 1947 in Berwyn, Illinois to the late John Paul and Alice (Williamson) ValHora. He attended Lions Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois. John loved the Angels Baseball Team, and was known for his tremendous memory for dates and events. He retired after 35 years of service at Wendy's at the Hinsdale Oasis in Illinois, where he took great pride in his responsibilities. John never met a stranger, and his family will miss his smile and infectious laughter. John is survived by his sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Brian Hancock; nieces: Shannon (Scott) Knight and Courtney (Jeff) Abernathy; nephew, J. Brian (Kristie) Hancock II and their children: Grace and Harper; cousins: Dick (Steve Dunham) Hanna and Joan (Max) Fulling. John was preceded in death by his parents; and aunts and uncles: Bessie (Al) Buksas, Joseph (Emily) Vladar, Violet (Richard) Hanna, William (Irene) Williamson; and cousin, Jerry Hanna. John's family would like to acknowledge the loving and gentle care provided to him during his 21 years of residence at Shattuck Manor. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). SERVICE: A private graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois where John will be buried with his parents.
