Frost, James B. "Jim" Saginaw Twp., Michigan Our beloved father, brother, devoted partner and dear friend passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at his home. He was 73 years old. James Bruce Frost was born on July 4, 1947 in Saginaw to the late Frank and Dorothy (Patzwaldt) Frost. Jim proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 leaving with the rank of Sgt. E-5. Jim served one year during the Vietnam War with the 22nd infantry 25th Division. He was awarded two purple hearts and one Bronze Star. He was employed by Saginaw Steering Gear Plant #4 for 32 years. After retirement he was involved with Habitat for Humanity and volunteered at his church, Saginaw First United Methodist Church. Jim was a member of American Legion Post #439 and OLLI at Saginaw Valley State University. He loved being active by exercising at the Sports Zone, playing pickle ball, kayaking, bicycling, ballroom dancing, bowling and his #1 passion was golf. Jim will be fondly remembered for someone that was always on time, a self-starter, meeting people and spending time with family and friends. Jim will be deeply missed by his children: Ryan (Heather) Frost and Rebecca Frost; his devoted and loving partner, Isabel Olvera; brother, Mike (Halene) Frost; sister, Marilyn (Bob) Goodall; extended family and dear friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ron Frost. According to Jim's wishes cremation has taken place. His family will gather privately for a graveside service at Great Lakes National Cemetery where military honors will be provided under the auspices of the United States Army.
