Obituary of Ruth Marie Minster

Minster, Ruth Marie Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Avista Nursing and Rehab. She was 92 years old. Ruth was born October 11, 1927 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Edward and Anna (Schwenn) Ruhlig. She was employed by AT&T as a long distance telephone operator, retiring after many years of service. Ruth was a faithful and active member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener. Ruth loved square dancing, clogging, line dancing and round dancing and she enjoyed teaching it to others. Ruth also enjoyed traveling and being a troop leader for the Girl Scouts of America. But, what she really loved most was spending time with her family and her dogs. Surviving are her grandchildren, Tammy Claus "Lyn Land", Heidi Claus, Ashley (Kenneth) O'Brien, and Dustin Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Jourdyn, Lexus, Nathen, Tamryn, Gerald, Alerie, Joseph, and nephew, Jerry Evans. Ruth was preceded in death by her daughters, Debbie Jones, Judy Minster, and Bonnie Schmidt. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E. Holland Road, Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Matthew Hauser will officiate.
