Obituary of William Kenneth Pearson
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pearson, William Kenneth of Saginaw Township passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. He was 70 years old. Bill was born on March 22, 1950 in Escanaba, MI, the son of Albin and Marie (Kositzky) Pearson. He was united in marriage to the former Linda Licht on May 30, 1980 in Escanaba, MI. Bill graduated from Escanaba High School and went on to Bay De Noc Community College and finished with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Western Michigan University. He worked in the Construction field for 50 years before retiring in 2015 from RC Hendrick & Son Inc.
Bill has always been a devoted and loving husband and father. One of his greatest joys has been being a grandfather (Papa). He found strength and direction through his faith, which was also reflected in his music. Bill touched the lives of so many people within his family and friends, the workplace, and the community. He was always kindhearted and never thought twice about helping others out. Known well for his sense of humor, Bill always knew how to make people laugh and would bring a smile to your face.
Bill loved writing music and playing the trumpet and guitar. He enjoyed traveling to Disney World, rock collecting, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed just being outside and staying busy.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda; daughter, Jessica (Brett) Lantz; two grandsons, Will and Cal Lantz; two brothers, Don (Pat) Pearson and Dennis (Marilyn) Pearson; sister, Lois Gushard; his mother and father in-law, Frank and Dorothy Licht; along with many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in-law, Ted Gushard.
In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. Bill fought a tough battle with dementia for several years and is now at peace. For those wishing to do a memorial contribution are asked to consider MADC, Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center (www. alzheimers.med.umich.edu)
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
