I want to express my sincere condolences to his wife and family. I met Lee in 2015 when hired me as an adjunct instructor for the Fire Science Academy at Delta College. He hired me on the phone and then we met in person. Usually. It's the other way around. Lee became friend and mentor and I want to say thanks for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to teach at Delta. Rest in peace, Lee and thank you for your dedication, service to your community and contributions to the fire service.

My deepest condolences to the Garcia family. You would not know me, but I met Leonardo at Delta College during a semester when we were on a "walking fitness" team for a wellness challenge. I enjoyed getting to know him and sharing our similar Spanish heritage. I knew him as a colleague there at the college and had no idea of all that he had accomplished even up to that point in his life. I know he will be sorely missed. I only had a brief acquaintance with him, but sensed that he was a humble person. It was obvious that he had a strong character, and, I imagined he was probably a hero, as his chosen profession indicated. I'm deeply sadden for your loss.

Condolences to the Garcia Family-
Charlie will be greatly missed. He was an honest sincere friend who I have known since high school era. I had lost contact for many years and somewhere in my senior years, I had found out that he was doing well in his life accomplishments. I really felt pride to see an Hispanic pursue personal dreams of great value.I was honored in working with him at Delta College where he would assist our department help Veteran students reach their academic goals. Our team efforts gave me the opportunity to see and understand what a heart loving man he was in his willingness to help another human being.
