Obituary of Kenneth Augustus Specht

Formerly of Saginaw, resided in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and retired in Longboat Key, Florida. Kenneth passed away March 16, 2020 at Wellbrooke Senior Living in Westfield, Indiana. He was born August 25, 1937 in Saginaw, the son of the late Harry Martin and Renetta (Lenz) Specht. Kenneth graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1955. He proudly served his country for two years in the United States Marine Corp. Kenneth was united in marriage to the former Kay Anne Spousta on October 18, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan; she preceded him in death on December 11, 2012. He retired from Canteen Service after 46 years of service; he started as a student janitor, to salesman, to manager and on to Vice President of Operations. Kenneth enjoyed hunting and traveling. Kenneth is survived by his four children and seven grandchildren, Kenny (Kelly) Specht of Gainesville, GA and their children Kara and Kyle, Kurt Specht of Dallas, TX, Kerry (Wendall) Waldroup of Sand Lake, MI and their children Kendall and Kayden, Kelly (Manfred) Hoffmann of Westfield, IN and their children Jordyn, Connor, and Cameron. Besides his wife and his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by 7 siblings. FUNERAL: A Private family service will take place at Deisler Funeral Home with Reverend Sue Hand to officiate. Committal service will follow in Oakwood Mausoleum and will conclude with full Military Honors. MEMORIALS: For those of you wishing to do a memorial contribution, please consider CurePSP.
