Obituary of Dorothy Elaine Huff

Our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Sunday evening, January 5, 2020 with her family by her side at the age of 91. Dorothy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 1, 1928 the daughter of Raymond and Lillian (Miller) Beuthin. She was united in marriage to Alphonse "Bud" Huff on March 1, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan; he preceded her in death on December 3, 2004. Dorothy loved children. She and her husband took in numerous foster children and Dorothy ran "Dottie's Daycare" for over 50 years. She loved her family and was very proud of them. Baptized at the tender age of 9 years old, her faith was the foundation of her life. Dorothy made sure to find time every morning before starting her day, for prayer and reading scripture. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, roller skating and bike riding. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, infectious smile and quick wit. Dorothy is survived by her children, William (Beverly) Huff and Connie Huff both of Saginaw; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Rev. Raymond Beuthin Jr.; many nieces and nephews. Besides Dorothy's parents and her husband "Bud" she was preceded in death by two children, Dennis Sr. and Tarry Huff, two grandsons, Erick and William Huff and a brother, Mike Beuthin. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Dorothy will take place Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Tittabawassee Rd. Pastor Randy Owens to officiate. Private interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the church on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
