I taught politics at Delta. One of my favorite presidents was LBJ. One of his aides characterized him as "a force of nature".
In our corner of Michigan, that fairly well sums up Lynn's personality.
My wife and I got to know Lynn when she (and her buddy Mary Lou) joined our annual spring break excursions. Paris. And then Finland and on to Saint Petersburg. It was there that she collapsed and was in danger of being under the care of the Russian medical service. But! She was spirited away (rescued) via Finnish ambulance that rushed to get her and then crossed the Russian - Finnish boarder without stoping. It was then that it was discovered that she had a brain tumor, luckily benign. Through all of this she was forever cheerful. That's the sort of spirit she had. And it was at that point we began to understand Lynn's inner strength.
Our fondest memories, however, were of the annual holiday parties she provided for her friends. Of which there were, of course, many. Food and drink and endless hospitality. Forever smiling, hugging, kissing. While my wife Arja is a very social creature, I am not. Yet with Lynn running things I got sucked in. Every time. The best parties ever.
Thank you Lynn for being such a force. And you always will be.

Beautiful, kind, thoughtful, generous, pleasant, sincere, intelligent, and always smiling. We could go on forever with the adjectives but we were beyond fortunate to have known Lynn and have her in our life for many years!
Someone in our group, in Mazatlan, Mexico, was once asked what their favorite food was and the replied was "anything that Lynn Miotto cooks!"
You will be truly missed!

Kim to you and your family my heart goes out to you I've sat where you are but know that God is able to lift you and to comfort you in this hour. My prayers go out to you all . Just know weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning... Look to Jesus for your strength he's right there with his arms open. He knows your hurt , pain he sees your tears.
My condolences. Regina
