MIDCALF, Corrinne Anne, a lifelong Saginaw resident, quietly passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old. Corrinne A. Doran was born November 20, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Clarence E. and L. Arthella (Borck) Doran. She married Richard E. Midcalf on January 19, 1957. He survives her. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School and then attended Bay City Junior College. Corrinne was a semi-retired accountant from the family accounting business she began in 1981. She served at all levels in the Independent Accountants Association of Michigan, elected president in 1993. Corrinne also served on many committees as well as State Director of the National Society of Accountants. She enjoyed traveling, particularly cruising, and visited most of the 50 states, reading, and playing games on the computer. Corrinne is survived by her husband, Richard and their children: Stephen A. (DeLynn) Midcalf, Catherine A. Midcalf (Roy Walker), Suzanne M. Midcalf (Michael Thomas); her beloved grandchildren; Alexandria Midcalf, Colin and Samantha Walker; her brother, Donald (Sally) Doran; two sisters-in-law: Doreen Doran and Sally Doran; as well as many nieces and nephews. Corrinne was predeceased by two brothers: Robert and James Doran and a nephew, John Doran. FUNERAL: According to Corrinne's wishes cremation has taken place and a Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn St. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will officiate. Private burial of Corrinne's cremated remains will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. A Vigil Service honoring Corrinne will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 Thursday evening. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Stephen Catholic Church or VNA Hospice- Partners In Caring.
