ROHN, James (Jim) Robert of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, July 06, 2011, at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison. He was 68 years old. Jim was born on December 22, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Robert F. and Jane S. (Sadenwater) Rohn. Jim graduated from Arthur Hill High School and attended Delta College. He was employed for several years at the Michigan Sugar Company and later worked at Bowl-O-Mat. Jim enjoyed playing cards, working on puzzles and was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers. Most of all, he loved traveling and spending time with his family, especially at their summer home in Lake City. Jim was a wonderful man who truly loved to help others and touched many lives. Left to cherish his memory is a brother, Jerry (the late Sharon) Rohn of Freeland; a sister, Judy Ruppel and her special companion, Rob Kotcher; five nieces and nephews: Heidi (Neal) McComas of Commerce, Amy (Dale) Bray of Cedar Springs, Cory (Solveig) Ruppel of Tampa, FL., Tricia (Perry) Dare of Oxford and Danielle (Adam) Crist of Gunnison, CO.; 11 great nieces and nephews: Alex, Tyler, Blake, Joshua, Madeleine, Cody, Spencer, Genevieve, Olivia, Jane and Mason. Jim's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Saginaw Geriatrics, Heartland Healthcare, Health Source of Saginaw and Covenant Healthcare. FUNERAL: Jim's Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. Vicar Jacob Hummel will officiate. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday at the Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
