MACAULAY, Kerry B. of Saginaw Township, beloved husband, father, and son passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 56 years old. Kerry was born August 30, 1954 in Detroit to Brian and Joey (James) Macaulay. He was married to Susan Geese on February 24, 1979 in Saginaw. She survives him. Kerry was employed at Schneider Electric/Square D. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus #4232. Kerry's first love was his family and he treasured their time together. He also enjoyed fishing, especially fly-fishing on Michigan streams, and in 30 years he never missed an opening day of trout season with his brother-in-law Dave. Kerry traveled many miles on the Saginaw Rail Trail and also competed in the Ice Man Cometh Challenge 27-mile bicycle race. Left to cherish Kerry's memory, along with his wife, is his son, Matthew Kerry Macaulay of Lansing; his father, Brian Macaulay of Bay City; his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Ruby Geese of Saginaw; two brothers-in-law: Dave (Penny) Geese of Saginaw, Don (Diane) Geese of Holland; two cherished nieces: Nichole and Elizabeth; very special cousins: Martha (Sam) Pettineo of Chicago and Jim Huston of Detroit. Kerry was preceded in death by his mother, Joey Macaulay. Kerry's family would like to extend their appreciation for the unending support, love, and well wishes. A special thank you to everyone with Hospice - VNA and to the wonderful staff and nurses at Dr. Bartnik's office FUNERAL: Kerry's funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Cremation has already taken place. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Michigan Trout Unlimited, The Saginaw Choral Society, or St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
