GOMEZ, Angelita "Angie" of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011, at the Covenant HealthCare - Harrison. Age 51 years. Angelita Llamas was born on February 21, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Rogers Gomez on December 29, 1989. He survives her. Angie Loved watering her flowerpots and gardening in the spring. She also loved to shop, especially at garage sales. Angie was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Angie is survived by six sons, Anthony (Dickla) Gomez, Jason Gomez, Daniel (Josephine) Stevens, Josh Bhirdo, Kevin Bhirdo (Currently serving in the United States Navy as a Navy Seabee), and Michael Gomez; her mother, Ermalinda Aquinaga; her birth parents, Francisco and Josephine Llamas; 16 grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Irene (Larry) Salinas, Mario (Kristy) Llamas, and Dyanna Llamas, Linda (Fred) Rangel, Victor (Donna) Llamas, Maria (Paul) Borle, Sylvia (John) Fossen, Susan (Jesse) Gonzales and a special niece, Sonia Morales-Whittaker. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and her favorite dog, Zoey Marie. Angie will be forever missed. Angie was preceded in death by a brother, Francisco R. Llamas FUNERAL- Angie's Funeral Liturgy will be take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington St. Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied OFMCap will officiate. VISITATION- Friends may visit with Angie's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Angie will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Mass MEMORIALS- Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw Humane Society or St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
