Obituary of Marion Ruth Schnell

SCHNELL, Marion Ruth of Saginaw, MI passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Edgewood Assisted Living. She was 91 years old. Marion Ruth Grunwell was born September 24, 1919 in Saginaw to the late Herbert and Uleta (Sensabaugh) Grunwell. She married Frederick Schnell in Saginaw on January 20, 1940. He passed away on June 28, 1982. Marion along with her husband owned and operated Schnell Body Shop for 40 years. She loved her family and animals of all kind. Marion also enjoyed her summers up north and her winters in Florida. Marion is survived by her children: Frederick Schnell Jr. of Saginaw, Barbara Schnell of Saginaw, Susan (Allan) Ingleright of Kochville Twp.; a special friend, Nellie Sonsmith; two grandchildren: Scott (Joanne) Schnell and Rick (Jenny) Schnell; five great grandchildren: Loyad, Coty, Sydney, J.D. and Ricky; two brothers: Jack Grunwell of Tawas and Thomas (Gloria) Grunwell of Carrollton. Marion was preceded in death by three brothers: Herbert, Howard and Erwin Grunwell; and a sister, Delores Blamer. Marion's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the Staff at Edgewood Assisted Living and Southern Care Hospice for the loving care and support provided to Marion. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Marion will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State). Rev. Donald H. Dinninger will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Funeral Home from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011 and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
