Obituary of Mark S. Taylor

TAYLOR, Mark S. "Spike" of Thomas Township passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He was born on August 23, 1957 in Saginaw to Robert and the late Verna (Frost) Taylor. He was married to Janet (Roby) Theisen. He was a 1975 graduate of Eisenhower High School. Upon graduation he worked for Martin Chevrolet in Saginaw as a mechanic and service manager, retiring in 2010 after 31 years of dedicated service. Mark loved the outdoors enjoying: hunting, fishing, motorcycles, camping and NASCAR. Mark is survived by his daughter, Morgan E. Taylor of Thomas Township; his father and step-mother, Robert H. and Betty Taylor of Bay City; a brother, Kim R. Taylor of Saginaw; a sister, Lori and Randy VanTol of Essexville; a nephew, Scott and Megan Martinson of Saginaw; and a great nephew, Blake Martinson. Many special family members and friends also survive Mark. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Verna Taylor on April 27, 2002; and a brother-in-law, Martin "Marty" Martinson. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A service for Mark will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
