MICHAEL, Frances A. of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at her home with her family at her side. She was 65 years old. Frances A. Thomas was born on December 13, 1945 in Nuneaton, England to Francis and Teresa Thomas. She was a self-employed home healthcare aid, taking care of the elderly. Frances truly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also cherished her flower gardens and enjoyed talking on the phone with family and friends. Surviving are her mother, Teresa (Bob) MacKenzie; a daughter, Lisa (Roger) Drielick, a son, Eric (Rachel) Serres; four grandchildren: Cody and Makenzy Drielick, Safiya and Olivia Serres. Also surviving are special friends: Holly Richmond and Bill "Smitty" Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis G. Thomas; a brother, Butch Thomas; and a stepfather, Houston Drake. Following Frances' wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Arrangements were entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
