Obituary of Marylou LaRue

LaRue, Marylou of Freeland, MI passed away on her 80th birthday, Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Lutheran Home - Frankenmuth. Marylou Gordon was born in Detroit to the late Albert and Violet (Hoverter) Gordon. She was married to Douglas LaRue on January 1989 in Bay City. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2009. Marylou previously worked as a nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and later Saginaw General Hospital. She also was a manager for Stanley Home Products. Marylou loved to travel across America with Doug, the love of her life. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Marylou is survived by her children: James (Janice) Kribs of Vassar, Judith (Jeffory) Sprinkle of Vassar, Robert (Joan) Kribs of North Carolina and Phillip (Val) Kribs; her step-children: Paul "Mike" LaRue of Bay City, Douglas (Janice) LaRue of Breckenridge, Penny McGill of Caro and Steven (Michelle) LaRue of Grand Rapids; also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. FUNERAL: Marylou's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State). Rev. Robert M. Eggers will officiate. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
