CARR, Grace M. of Saginaw Township. Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at her home with her family at her side. She was 96 years old. Grace M. Brown was born on September 25, 1915 in Mayville, Michigan to the late William and Anna (Harris) Brown. She married Rollo R. Carr on September 2, 1939, in Saginaw, at First Baptist Church. She loved playing piano and gardening. Grace also enjoyed feeding and watching birds. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was also involved in teaching Sunday school. Surviving are her children: John (Joeva) Carr, Paul Carr, Sister Judith Elsen "Mary Carr", Tom Carr and his fiancé Brenda Baroody; grandchildren, Shannon (Tina) Carr, Lance (Katie) Carr, Chad (Donna) Carr, Tyrone Carr, Derek (Lisa) Carr, Paul (Genia) Walker, Jennifer (Brett) Odette, Stephen Newton, Rebekah (Tim) Purdy, Rachel (Michael) Gilbert, Philip Millard, Kyle Carr, Kristen (Young) Chang, and Sara (Adam) Heller; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters: Glenn Brown, Bernice Wolgast, Onnalee Wells, Edrie Klump, and Oza Beal. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (Off State). Rev. Laura Lee Strawser will officiate. Burial will follow at Martiny Township Cemetery in Rodney, Michigan. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Michigan Ave. Baptist Church or Beacon of Hope Church.
