Obituary of Carl J. Alles

ALLES, Carl J. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 after a lengthy illness at Covenant Health Care - Harrison. Age 73 years. Carl Alles was born on August 6, 1938 in Saginaw to the late Carl E. and Lillian (Stahl) Alles. He was married to his loving wife of 50 years, Diana Carlton, on October 28, 1961 in Saginaw. She survives him. Carl was a member of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church. After serving in U.S. Navy he was employed by General Motors Corporation at Grey Iron Foundry for over 35 years. He retired in 1994. Carl enjoyed spending time at his computer. Surviving are his wife, Diana; his daughter, Tamara (Robert) Deisler; his son, James C. Alles; his granddaughter, Allessa Deisler: his sister-in-law, Ellen (John) Propp; two brothers-in-law: Dale (Susan) Carlton and Edward Carlton; and several nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his sister, SallyAnne (Gerhard) Weess. FUNERAL: Carl's Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011 at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5501 Gratiot Rd. Rev. Mark Lindloff will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
