Obituary of Donald S. Rupp II

RUPP, Donald S. II of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at his home with his loving wife and beloved pets, Been, Scrappy, and Cat, at his side. He was 65 years old. Donald S. Rupp was born on January 13, 1947 in Alpena to the late Donald S. Rupp and Vivian Seamon. He was married to Carol S. Heinlein on June 12, 1996 on a mountaintop in Sedona, Arizona. Don was a 1965 graduate of Saginaw High School. Following graduation he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Don was a member of the American Legion Post #439. He was a very skilled and talented self-employed carpenter. When he wasn't working, Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time in his man cave / garage. Surviving are his wife, Carol; a son, Jeffrey (Tara) Dambro of Summerville, S.C.; two grandsons: Tyler and Aiden; two sisters: Tana (Richard) Brown, of Saginaw, Robin Hull of Anchorage AK; an uncle, Robert R. (Dianne) Rupp of Howard, OH. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews. Following Don's wishes cremation has taken place. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Military services will be conducted under the auspices of American Legion Post #439. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:30 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Covenant Visiting Nurse Association, American Cancer society, or Saginaw County Animal Shelter.
