To Scottie, Scott and Patty, George was such a great mentor and fellow colleague. He was the ultimate definition of a professional, and dentistry was fortunate to have him as a member. I learned so many valuable lessons from George and he connected so well with all his patients, they became his friends. I so loved working with him and his patients, they were the best! Will miss him and his diehard dedication to the University of Michigan! My prayers are with all of you. Take care.
Sincerely,
Dr. Bill Mason

I want to express my deepest sympathy for the passing of Dr. Williams. Even though it has been years since I have seen him, I am very proud that I had the chance to share with him about his legacy a couple of years ago.
Dr. Williams was a huge influence on my up bringing and my career choice. For it was because of him that I went to the University of Michigan, and eventually on to Michigan's School of Dentistry. I was Dr. Williams' favorite patient until I was a third year of dental school, and I discovered that all of his child patients were his favorite. We had a great laugh after I told him how upset I was thinking all this time I was his favorite.
I cannot thank him enough for his directive in pursuing a career in dentistry. I have always attributed my interest in dentistry to this great family dentist. His legacy not only lives on through me, but in my family. I married a dental school classmate, who also formed a kind relationship with Dr. Williams. We have four children, three of which have also chosen a career in dentistry.
I shared with Dr. Williams about his legacy and he needed to know the vast influence that he had not only on me from childhood, but to my career and how it led to meeting my wife and my children choosing a fabulous profession to go into. I feel so privileged to have had him in my life and will always have wonderful memories of a great man. Through his love and kindness, his influence has been endless.

Dr. Williams was my dentist for 40 years. His daughter, Dale, was my hygienist until last year, when she retired. Dr. Williams was a friend of my mother and father. Dad first met Dr. Williams through Dr. Schultz in Chesaning through their love and interest in dogs. My dad boarded one of Dr. Williams' Britney Spaniels, when I was a teenager. Ever since that time, our family went to Dr. Williams for dental care. Over the years, he became a personal friend..... always asking about mom and dad and how they were doing. He was so outgoing and friendly that it was always fun going to the dentist just to see Dr. Williams. After Dr. Williams retired, I was able to keep up with how he was doing when visiting his daughter, Dale, for my dental hygiene needs. She also became a good friend and I miss seeing her at the dentist.
When I was trying to decide whether to become an RN or a Dental Hygienist, he tried to talk my into becoming a Dental Hygienist saying, "You've got a job waiting for you here when you're done!" Even though I ended up becoming an RN, was still satisfied because he told me his was a nurse. We talked about his love of going out on his boat, dogs, and family! He was such a special man. He will be sadly missed.
Loving memories,
Sharon (Dankert) Peters
Elizabeth Dankert (my mom)
Duane Dankert (my deceased father)

Dr Williams was my family's Dentist from the 1950's until his retirement. He was the best and he was also a friend. He would chew you out if you lost a filling or whatever because you didn't call him right away so he could come in and fix it. We all lost a great human being. My family will say a prayer for him and his family and you have our deepest sympathy. He will be greatly missed.

I was deeply saddened when I heard of the passing of Doctor Williams. Doc became my dentist early after my arrival in Saginaw Township in 1965 as a member of the Saginaw Township Community Schools. His devotion to University of Michigan athletics, coupled with our memberships at First Congregational Church, made us good friends. I attended several Michigan football games with Doc, and his children became very special to me while teaching at Douglas MacArthur High School.
His pleasant demeanor and warm personality even made sitting in a dental chair an enjoyable experience.
It was my pleasure to have known Doc! My thoughts are with his family.
God bless,
Hugh Matson

Dear William's family- I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Williams. As a child, my family and I lived next door to Dr. Williams in Lathrup Park. He was a gracious man! He loved the outdoors, gardening, playing with the dogs and he loved his boat! When I would see him outside, he always gave a friendly wave and hello. At 95, he lived a great and full life, and gave so much to the community of Saginaw and MI in general. May his legacy live on and that he rest in peace. I was in MI back in 2015, and was visiting my good friend Paul Wernecke across from Dr. Williams home. I ran over and said hello to him. It was many years since I last saw him. He was greatly surprised! May the family find peace and strength at this time. I'm thankful to have known "Doc." James Hill
