Obituary of Irene Mary Marino

Irene Mary Polzin Marino of Saginaw, Michigan died victorious at 3:13 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, July 25, 2019, in hospice care at Hoyt Nursing Home, after two years of cancer. Born to John William and Inez Catherine (Brown) Polzin, October 28, 1943. Irene graduated from St. Andrew High School and Delta College, Saginaw, and followed her mother into professional office management, retiring early from Saginaw Valley State University. Irene leaves behind three sons and their children: Michael (Sarah) - Gabrael (deceased), Mario, Evelyn, Chiara, Thomas, Pietro and Alessandra; Philip (Kriszta) - Katherine and Elizabeth; Dennis - Alexis and Julia. The middle child of three siblings, her two brothers survive her, along with her nieces and nephews: Thomas (Nancy, deceased) - Nancy Ann, Johanna and Thomas Jr (Melissa); John (Anita) - Jack (Caren), Geoffrey, Jodi (Paul). MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Church campus, 1310 Malzahn, Saginaw, Michigan. VISITATION: Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations to the Marino family, c/o Dennis Marino.
