Obituary of George James Bujouves

Passed away peacefully Thursday evening at Shields Comfort Care in Saginaw at the age of 91. George was born September 23, 1927 in Saginaw the son of James and Bessie (Karas) Bujouves. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1945 and then went on to serve honorable in the United States Air Force. George was a golf fanatic, he loved everything about the sport and was a very good golfer himself. George shot a hole in one at the Saginaw Country Club in 1999 that he was very proud of. He also enjoyed sports cars and owned a few himself and was also known to tinker around a bit with woodworking. He was known for being a jack of all trades. George was a member of the Saginaw County Club and Maple Hill Golf Club. George is survived by his two siblings, Perry Bujouves and Helen Kokinakes; five nephews, Chris (Julie) Kokinakes of CA, James (Sally) Bujouves, Brent (Sheila Polley) Bujouves, Brian (Stephanie) Bujouves and Glen (Barbara) Bujouves and a very dear friend, Shirley Stoney. George was preceded in death by a sister in-law, Carole Bujouves and a brother in-law, John Kokinakes. FUNERAL: A funeral service for George will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 12:00 PM from St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 4970 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw, MI 48603 with Rev. Fr. Timothy Cook to officiate. Private entombment to take place in Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Freeland, MI. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the church also on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
