Obituary of Susan D. Gotham

GOTHAM, Susan D. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at her home. She was 70 years of age. Susan Dianne Pendred was born April 25, 1941 in Au Gres to the late Walter and Zella Pendred. She was married to Jack Gotham on June 23, 1973 in Frankenmuth. He survives her. Susan had been employed by Albee School, Ashwald Home for Girls, and Saginaw Public Schools. Her most fulfilling position was as a homemaker. Susan was a member of the Red Hat Society and Hottie Totties. She was a talented artist and enjoyed working in multiple mediums. Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Jack; four sons: Daniel (Kay) Gotham, Douglas (Barbara) Gotham, Donald (Laura) Gotham, and Daryl (Lisa) Gotham; one daughter: Penny Gotham and her husband Michael Dork; eight grandchildren: Arika Martin, Megan, Carolyn, Elise, Marley, Livia, Nolan and Brady Gotham; two great-grand children: Jordan and Ashtyn Martin; two brothers: Victor and Richard Pendred; six sisters: Eileen Heinrich, Elsie Maser, Phyllis McGuire, Pauline Duby, Alice Freehling, and Zella Jean Freehling; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Ross and Ted Pendred; and a sister, Carol Gotham. FUNERAL: Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter (off State St.). Rev. Donald D. Gotham will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit at the Deisler Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
