ISRAEL, REV. DOYLE It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a wonderful man, Duncan Arthur Doyle Israel who was called to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 29, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was 66 years old. We admire his bravery, faith, and courage to battle cancer for the past 4 years. Doyle was born January 15, 1946 to the late Rev. Herman & Betty Israel. He will be dearly missed by his family. He leaves his soul mate and the love of his life, Loretta (Morin-Gonzales) Israel of 36 years; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jenny Gonzales; two grandchildren: Madison and Hunter Gonzales, as he would always say "Papa's boys"; his son, Dale (Sally) Bradburn, and his daughter, Kristin St. Charles. His faithful companions: Sassy, Keta, Dixie and his African Grey, Truman. Two nephews that he loved and who were dear to his heart, Darwin Israel and Kenny Erlenbach II, they were always by his side or not to far away. He loved his brother Mark, and always said he was his best friend. He also leaves behind his siblings: Veronica (Roy) Fritz, Joanne Israel (wife of the late Hurley Israel Sr.), Enola (Joe) Danks, Mark (Rosalie) Israel, Debra Wellman (Terry Lewis), Frankie (Binky) Israel; his favorite mother-in-law, Eleanor Morin; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth & Tami Erlenbach. A host of nieces and nephews and he loved them all, many friends, too many to name. For the past 27 years Doyle has ministered John 3:16; that was his heart. He will always be remembered as a man of God, preaching the gospel, "The Good News of Jesus Christ". John 3:16. He was the Senior Pastor of Charity Tabernacle (PCG) of Montrose for eleven years, and New Beginning Church of God in Bay City for twelve years. His ministry was birthed at the Anchor of Hope Church as the associate Pastor for five years under Bishop Richard C. Popard. Doyle always said he loved life, loved his family, and loved his friends. He was a great listener and shared his wisdom of the Bible, hunting, fishing and politics; and had a passion to nurture and explain life in his own way to others, instilling good things for their lives. The legacy he leaves to those that knew him will live on. Doyle was well known through out the bowling society, not only a great bowler but loved to instruct, teach and mentor others. Among his accomplishments: he was a member of the Professional Bowling Assoc. (PBA), he earned 3 PBA Titles, and 55 - 300 games. His last 300 game was April 16, 2009 at State Lanes. He was also a member of the PBA Senior Tour and inducted into the Saginaw Bowling Hall of Fame in 1990. Doyle was the owner of Select Auto Sales for many years. He also belonged to many associations and forums which included: Christian Brothers Hunting Ranch in Illinois, F.I.O.C. Chaplin Assoc., Marshall Arts for 20 years, fast pitch softball for 20 years. He traveled and shot competition with Michigan Bowman Assoc., was a Champion Target Archer for Indiana State, and a member of the Michigan Model Airplane Assoc.
